Villa H is located in Slano, a town not far from Dubrovnik. Also, ACI marina is located in Slano, due to favorable conditions and its location in a protected bay. The plot intended for the construction of a holiday home has just been located near the marina, it is oriented to the north, with a view towards the sea and the marina, and is mostly protected by greenery.

The concept was based on the analysis of the situation, and extracting the best from the location’s possibilities. Therefore, it is planned that the very structure of the house protects it from the shortcomings of the environment, and that it opens up to the greenery and views. Also, an essential request of the investor was to create outdoor spaces of different qualities and ambiences. The house, with its shape and positioning, created a barrier towards the neighbors to the east, and an internal private courtyard was created to the south, and a terrace with a swimming pool and sunbathing area to the north.

The intention was to create a pleasant space adapted to the Mediterranean lifestyle, and mutual permeation of internal and external space. The house has a contemporary design, with straight lines, but it is softened by materials, views and greenery.
